Indoor arenas and stadiums draw tens of thousands of attendees wanting to see their favorite artists perform or sports teams play. Attendees include the general public as well as celebrities and other VIPs. Other special events that often require added layers of security include those involving political figures or members of royal families. Typically, the safety of the attendees and honored guests can only be assured when security screening checkpoints are in place.
